Historic center of Třeboň

The history of the city dates back to about the middle of the 12^th century. Třeboň reached its greatest prosperity in the 16^th and early 17^th centuries, especially during the reign of the last two Rosenbergs, the brothers Vilém and Petr Vok of Rosenberg. A new era of construction and prosperity began with the appointment of Jakub Krčín of Jelčany as the head of all Rosenberg business. Krčín's economic reforms also affected the city of Třeboň and its immediate surroundings. This happy period of Třeboň ended with the invasions of the Passau troops, the extinction of the Rosenbergs and several devastating fires.

the Schwarzenberg Tomb

The tomb of the princely family of Schwarzenberg is a very impressive and photogenic building from the 19th century, which looks as if it has stood here for almost a thousand years. It is located in the middle of an English park, from which you have a beautiful view of the Svět pond.
